Hope everyone has had a good Christmas. As we sit, run down and exhausted after a week of overeating and overdrinking I thought it would be good to reflect on the past 12 months of TTN – we played with and worked with some really good people and we wanted to give them a mention.
In Jan we played with the awesome lonely the brave and fatherson, and finished tracking for the “on the other side” ep. In Feb we recorded our first video with Dec from make no apology/ the breakdowns. We are still pleased with it – check it out http://youtu.be/3KlMFp7iXyc
In March we had a launch party for the on the other side ep at the vic, Derby with fka and santa fe – it was one of my favourite gigs we have done and I’m really looking forward to playing with both bands again in 2015.
In June Dave and Rich achieved the great ttn rafting debacle going from matlock to beeston in an inflatable boat. we also tracked the haunt you ep. In July Dave and Rob ran 10k for cancer research, and in July little Samuel joined the “kids of ttn” band. We are excited about the next addition early in 2015. Between the 6 of them I’m sure we can put something together with more talent than their Dads!
Rich and Dave tried and failed to walk from one side of the country to the other in October, but did drink a lot of red wine. We finally finished producing and mixing the “haunt you” ep and released it in November. We were also thrilled to feature as the closing track on the tell em Steve Dave podcast.
In December despite failing health we played a fantastic gig at firebug, Leicester with our friends in Mage. Another great band that we can’t wait to play with next year.
In 2015 we will finally finish and release our 2nd album, we will make another video for the next single, do our long threatened acoustic ep/ video and play some more gigs with more great bands. Massive thanks to everyone that came to a gig, listened to the songs, and said nice things about what we do – We really appreciate the support.
Happy new year
